Halloween Art: The children planned, designed and created Halloween Masks.
Christmas Art: The children planned, designed and created some Christmas decorations using clay, felt and paint.
Drama- inspired by The Children of Lir
Religion- Remembrance Tree: We had a remembrance tree in our classroom for the month of November. We used a bare tree that had fallen during Hurricane Ophelia. The bare tree represented "Death". The children wrote the names of their deceased on paper crosses. Then they decorated each cross with crepe paper. Finally wool was threaded through the punched holes at the top of each cross and they were tied to the tree branches. This beautiful symbol was used as a focal point during the month of November - the month of Our Dead.
Advent Wreath: The children helped to create an Advent Wreath for our classroom. We used this beautiful symbol during our Advent class services in preparation for Christmas.
