Board of Management Meeting 5th June, 2024

  • Hot lunches discussed. Investigating possible suppliers. Include Student Council and Parents' Assoc. in the process.

  • Bus Eireann transport drop off times and meeting with Bus Conductor discussed and agreed.

  • Policies reviewed and ratified: Acceptable Use Policy, Code of Behaviour and Excellence Policy, Social Personal and Health Education Policy, Anti Bullying Policy.

  • Implications of social media use outside of school hours for learning and teaching in school discussed.

  • Assistant Principal annual reviews conducted.

  • Review of Special Education Policy following Whole School Evaluation Report discussed.

  • All the achievements of the 2023/2024 academic year discussed and affirmed.

  • Maintenace works to be carried out over summer closure discussed.

  • Fleadh na Mí success.

Board of Management Meeting 19th March, 2024​

  1. WSE MLL report issued by the Dept. of Education and Skills. Board has formally replied to the report. Final draft will be uploaded to school website in due course.

  2. New Board of Management fundraiser to be announced soon.

  3. Planning for the 2024/25 academic year has begun.

  4. Revised internal car park design due soon – apply for funding – continued safety/vigilance needed by all users of external car park during drop off and collection times.

  5. Two Catechists visited the school in February – positive report for the whole school

  6. 2022/23 school accounts submitted to FSSU

  7. Planning for upgrading IT equipment throughout the school under way.

  8. Congratulations to 2nd class and 6th classes on receiving their sacraments. 2nd-6th classes provided with opportunity for in-school confession.

  9. Well done to the school’s Credit Union Quiz, the school’s FAI soccer teams and Cumann na mBunscol teams.

  10. Curriculum initiatives underway next year in Maths, English Reading and Spellings.

  11. Pupil Council – have organised new goal posts for the school yard.

  • Internal car drop off - engineer conducted site visit.

  • Recruitment of two Infant Hour SNA s completed.

  • Fleadh na Mí to be hosted in O'Growney NS in May 2024.

  • Lotto fundraiser discussed following information session.

 

Board of Management Meeting 5th December, 2023

  1. 16th class teacher discussed and update to be issued soon.

  2. Fire and Evacuation Policy, Records Retention Policy - ratified

  3. Updated Parental Complaints Policy approved

  4. Review of internal drop off area ongoing

  5. Exceptional Review of SNA allocation to the school conducted and awaiting review report

  6. 8th December Christmas Launch - children from 1st-6th class to attend 10 a.m. mass - all welcome to attend

 
Board of Management Meeting 3rd October, 2023

  1. The policies that were reviewed and ratified were Critical Incident Policy, Code of Behaviour and Excellence   

  2. 16th teacher appeal update discussed. 

  3. Board acknowledged Whole School Evaluation from 17th-19th October. 

  4. Board welcomed new Principal Martin Hanly. 

  5. Process underway to appoint the fourth Assistant Principal II. 

  6. Child Safeguarding and Anti Bullying annual reviews undertaken.
