Our First Holy Communion
Congratulations to all the boys and girls in second class who celebrated their First Holy Communion at the weekend.
It was a very special day.
We had a wonderful time down in Co.Cavan for our School Tour, we travelled to Crystal Maze.
We really enjoyed completing the challenges. Our favourite part was the river walk.
We had the best day!
'The Land Of Make Believe'
We are loving spending time out in the 'Land of Make Believe'.
We paired up and worked on our team work skills - one child was blindfolded and the other had to safely guide them from one end of the course to the other.

Float or Sink & Boat Races
We carried out some experiments within the class - we estimated and then tested objects that would sink or float.
We also did some origami and made paper boats.
We held a class race - Well done to Elliott who was the overall class winner.
We had great fun!
Maths Measure Hunt
This week, we have been learning about length. We were busy measuring different objects and areas around the school.
We had great fun!
We are really enjoying the lovely Spring weather. We were out in the 'Land of Make Believe' looking for signs of Spring and collecting flowers. We love playing on the pirate ship and in the pirate house, we also started to build a den and found a bird's nest.
Obstacle course fun!
Ms Gilsenan's class kindly invited us to take part in an obstacle course that they designed! We had a great time!

We were very busy collecting and recycling cardboard boxes.

We had snow much fun in the snow this morning. With great team work we managed to make a lovely class snowman, we named him Frosty.
We have been very busy learning about 3D shapes. We spent our morning making 3D shapes using match sticks and clay. We were very proud of our completed shapes.
Saint Brigid's Day
We enjoyed learning about Saint Brigid and celebrating Saint Brigid's day. We made Saint Brigid's cloaks and we also learned how to make Saint Brigid's day crosses.
