Our boys soccer team participated in the Meath county finals on Wednesday 25th of March in the MDL in Navan. Our boys had a brilliant qualifying campaign on the 5th of March which resulted in our qualification for this county finals day. We started off very strongly, securing a 3-0 win over Kildalkey NS. This was followed by a battling performance against Robinstown NS to secure another win, this time on a scoreline of 2-1. Winning both of these games meant we topped our group and qualified for the final against Kilcloon. This was a very tight encounter, we went 1-0 up before being pegged back to 1-1. It finished 1-1 at the end of normal time and it went to a 5 minute extra time period to decide things. Unfortunately our lads fell to a 3-1 defeat in extra time as Kilcloon's physicality shone through. We are extremely proud of our boys who secured a 2nd place finish in the medium schools section of Meath, which represents a massive cohort of schools. They played some fantastic football over the two days and they should be very proud of themselves.
